Der reguläre Betrieb im Chemnitz Open Space muss Ende 2025 aus finanziellen Gründen eingestellt werden. Die Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz bedanken sich bei den Kooperationspartner:innen, Fördermittelgeldgeber:innen und Unterstützer:innen, ohne die der Chemnitz Open Space nicht möglich gewesen wäre.

Der Chemnitz Open Space hinter dem Karl-Marx-Kopf (Brückenstraße 10) ist ein kostenfreier Treffpunkt, Ausstellungs- und Veranstaltungsort für alle Besucher:innen und Interessierte. Initiiert wurde er von den Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz. Der Raum ist der Rahmen, der Container, in dem Initiativen und Vereine in Chemnitz ihre eigenen demokratischen und kulturellen Projekte in der Innenstadt realisieren können, die bisher nicht genügend Sichtbarkeit und Öffentlichkeit gefunden haben. Er soll ein Ort für alle sein mit einer großen Diversität und Toleranz. Unser Anliegen ist es, allen Menschen einen außergewöhnlichen, aber unkomplizierten Besuch und eigenes aktives Mitwirken zu ermöglichen.

Regular operations at Chemnitz Open Space must be discontinued at the end of 2025 for financial reasons. The Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz would like to thank its cooperation partners, funding providers, and supporters, without whom Chemnitz Open Space would not have been possible.

The Chemnitz Open Space behind the Karl-Marx-Monument (Brückenstraße 10) is a free meeting point, exhibition and event location for all visitors and interested people. It was initiated by the Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz (Chemnitz Art Collections). The space is the framework, the container, in which initiatives and associations in Chemnitz can realise their own democratic and cultural projects in the city centre that have not yet found sufficient visibility and publicity. It is supposed to be a place for everyone with great diversity and tolerance. Our aim is to make it possible for all people to have an unusual but uncomplicated visit and their own active participation.
